Composed of a Battalion Chief and six Fire Captains who deliver service through six engine companies.

Operations

The Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District is an "All Risk" emergency response agency, with highly experienced / trained personnel ready to respond 24/7.  Specialized training includes: structural and wild land fire response, hazardous materials response, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies involving basic and advanced life support measures, water and confined space rescue, and response to natural and man-made disasters. Our personnel are required to maintain their proficiencies and skills on a continuing basis and to maintain their physical fitness on a daily basis.  Proudly serving you with Professionalism, and Performance.

The Operations Division is managed by the Battalion Chief of Operations Robert Kovach. The Operations Division is responsible for meeting the day-to-day service requests of the Fire District, including but not limited to: Structural Fire Suppression, Wild land Fire Suppression, Emergency Medical Services, Rescue Services, Hazardous Materials Mitigation and Surf Rescue. The Operations Division is responsible for assuring that all apparatus and equipment are state-of-the-art and remain immediately reliable for service. The Operations Division is responsible for maintaining adequate levels of consumable supplies. The Operations Division maintains facilities. The Operations Division is responsible for maintaining all respiratory and personnel protective equipment in compliance with mandated safety standards. The Operations Division is responsible for developing automatic and mutual aid agreements with surrounding and allied agencies.
