Suzy Cawthorn

Suzy Cawthon was born in Dallas,Texas but grew up in Anaheim, California.  Ms. Cawthon earned both her BBA Degree and Master's in Business Administration from Baylor University.  She began her career in Dallas as a commerical lender, specializing in radio/television/cable acquisition financing.  Upon moving to Billings, Montana, Ms. Cawthon shifted her focus to community volunteer efforts and began fundraising for public school programs in addition to becoming the Development Director for the city's YWCA.  She later served as School Board President for District #8 in the state of Montana and was a PTA President multiple times.  

Ms. Cawthon moved to Santa Barbara in 2003.  She served as a corporate event manager for a Goleta high-tech company, and has utilized those skills for countless non-profits including Domestic Violence Solutions and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund where she is a board member.  She served as PTA President at both San Marcos and Santa Barbara High Schools and most recently chaired the Measure V Bond Oversite Committee.  She owns the Santa Barbara Jazzercise Franchise and currently serves on the AHA Heart Walk Committee and is the first director commissioner on the Santa Barbara County Human Services Commission.  

Cawthon is the mother of three grown children and resides in Summerland where she is also a board member on the Summerland Citizen's Association.
