Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District

Update of our Community Wildfire Protection Plan

The Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District is initiating the process of updating our 2013 Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP).

A CWPP is a community-based plan that assesses the community's exposure and vulnerabilities to wildfire threats, serves to guide our community in an effort to reduce the wildfire threat and opens up opportunities for federal funding to help fund implementation of the plan.

All stakeholders, including affected property owners/residents, business owners, government and non-government agencies and organizations are encouraged to participate. Public workshops will be held January 14th at 5315 Foothill Rd (Girl's Inc) in Carpinteria and January 15th at 100 Innovation Way (QAD) in Summerland starting at 6:30 p.m. We look forward to working with you to make our community safer and more resilient to wildfire.  For additional information CLICK HERE
